I Keep Thinking About This Year’s TRAMP

There were a lot of things that got me flowing.

First, Amy Sigil and Shy from Street Team were telling me that I would work well with a personal friend of theirs. They wanted to hook me up with her but were afraid of the long distance between us.

Second, Ashley Lopez came up to me after my performance and complimented my stage presence. I nearly cried.

Third, Amy offered me something UNBELIEVABLE. I haven’t obtained it yet. I hope to soon.

Fourth, Amy’s Ghostwork workshop really made me rethink why I wanted to dance. It really changed my dance for good.

Fifth, there’s nothing like a dance orgy…

Too bad we didn’t get a picture of Ashley getting crowd surfed!

Help Me Go to California!!! →

Help me go to California with simple donations! This money will cover the cost of a plane ticket, which is WAY more than a single paycheck! I’m going to go study under Amy Sigil.

You see this woman, right here?
This is Amy Sigil, the creator of Unmata. Amazing skills, amazing speed, amazing endurance.
Also, amazing passion.
This woman changed my life for good. NEVER have I EVER been so fond of someone in my dance career. Sure, there was Rachel Brice, but I was in love with her for her skills. I’m in love with Amy because of her passion.
She cares about you and your dance career and wants to see you advance. She doesn’t do this for the money; it’s her way of coping with her problems and is an emotional release for her.
I promise you after taking a workshop with her, you’ll have renewed vigor in your dance just by watching her.
I had this lady for THREE DAYS of THREE HOUR WORKSHOPS back to back. The first workshop I sat out after an hour (she’s INTENSE!!!) and just watched. Her emotional response to all of her music was energizing and affected the whole group that managed to stay standing. Even though she was doing the same thing over and over and over for THREE HOURS STRAIGHT, she NEVER ONCE looked fatigued, unmotivated, or dissatisfied. Every movement had a renewed energy in it, the same amount of passion, through out her workshop. I had to tell her that same day that she really changed my outlook when I saw that passion. I have never seen anything like it.
She is INFECTIOUS!
The next day, I went about 2 hours with her, same passion, same energy with the exact same combo. It gave me motivation. A lot of motivation to keep going. Though, I was in unfamiliar air with so much humidity, I overheated myself and had to lay down on the cool cement floor before I died of heat stroke. But I didn’t even realize it until we took a water break.
I really bonded with Amy, taking any time I could to talk to her and get to know her. I enjoyed sitting around with everyone, but her presence really made it even better. I was more interested in what she had to say on certain topics, what her opinions were, or what her funny stories were.
She’s a blast to be with, alone and with company.
Friday night, her and Shy did a piece that debuted in Tribal Fest 11 and I cried. So much emotion in it. It was pure unadulterated emotion. I cried so hard.
Today, Sunday, we did a final workshop, but it was all lecture. The lecture was Ghostwork. I’m not going to ruin it for anyone, but…
ANYONE and EVERYONE NEEDS TO TAKE THIS WORKSHOP IF YOU EVER SEE IT BEING OFFERED!!! It really makes you face your fears head on on what’s holding you back. It makes you realize things that you never even thought about.
It’s very emotional.
Amy Sigil is now my newest and always will be my obsession from now on. She will be my mentor, whether it be through emails, phone calls, watching her videos, or taking her workshops.
I’m all Amy, now.

Now if you really want to smile, watch this lovely lady belly dance, to Bollywood music no less. Watching her made me smile this morning.

Oh and by the way, do you notice the Unmata tattoo on her back?

Is that the magick? If that’s the case, I’m selling my soul to Amy Sigil and tattooing my back to dance like that!!

Knowing Amy, she would STILL kick my ass during practice. If you’ve ever taken a workshop with them you know EXACTLY what I am talking about.

I’m taking a workshop with Amy next year in Ingram, TX! Can’t wait! Though, I’m sure that I could, haha!
